To help celebrate Women’s Sports Week on 19-25 June 2017, we are encouraging all Common Runners to bring a friend along for FREE to one of our classes that week in the hope that they enjoy the huge benefits that running on the Common brings.
And if you don’t know anyone at Common Runners but you would like to try out a running class that week, please let us know.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest.
If you fancy a run on Wimbledon Common during half term next week then please join us for an ad hoc, mixed ability, pay-as-you-go class on Tuesday 30 May, 7-8pm.
We meet outside the Windmill Café on the Common. The class costs £10. Please email email@example.com to confirm your attendance
To coincide with the Wimbledon Championships, APPI is offering a 30% discount on all their services to new clients from 16 June to 16 July 2017. Services include physiotherapy, pilates, sports massage, acupuncture and many more.
We now have 12 Common Runners signed up for the London Bridge-d running tour!
On Friday 9 June @ 9.30am, we are going on a 10k running/walking tour to explore the City of London, the original Roman settlement and home of St Paul’s Cathedral and Southwark that boasts Shakespeare’s globe, Borough Market and much more.
On the tour there will be scandals and secrets a-plenty revealed at each of the 10 stops. The tour will be followed by a well deserved coffee and cake at a special location. All abilities are catered for but you must be comfortable running at least 5k.
This tour looks fabulous! The cost of the running/walking tour plus coffee/tea & cake after is £24. If you haven’t signed up yet but would like to attend please let me know.
Final numbers and payment will be required by mid-May as the required number of guides will have to be booked. At this point I’m afraid that there will be no refunds.
To celebrate International Pilates Day on Saturday 6 May, APPI are offering free massage, physio and ultrasound assessments and classes, but you need to book early to avoid disappointment!

We meet outside Sweaty Betty in Wimbledon Village. The class costs £10. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your attendance.
To celebrate International Women’s Day on Wednesday 8 March, Mara Yamauchi – an elite marathon runner (the UK’s second fastest female marathon runner of all time and a two-time Olympian) – has agreed to join our weekly 5k social run on Wimbledon Common.
Mara will lead a warm up, run the 5k, chat with runners and join us for a Q&A session over coffee. If you would like to join our social run on Wednesday 8 March please email email@example.com. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come basis.
On this special day which celebrates women around the world, the 5k social run is FREE to all.
On Friday 10 March 2017 @ 9.30am, we are going on a Royal Parks Adventure Run to discover some new and forgotten gems in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Green Park and St James’s Park. The run will be followed by coffee & cake at a local cafe, an absolute must to recharge our batteries before heading home.
The run starts from and finishes in Kensington Gardens, near High St Kensington station. The run takes about 2 hours and briefly stops at a number of places of interest/views along the way. The distance covered is about 9k which can be run or combined with walking. In other words, all levels are catered for.
The cost of the run plus coffee/tea & cake after is £22.
If you would like to sign up please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Common Runners is happy to support the Santa Charity Park Run on Wimbledon Common this Saturday (17th Dec) where money is being raised for:
* Wimbledon Common Rangers who take great care of the common
* Stem4, a wonderful local charity which focuses on raising awareness about
mental illnesses in teenagers, in the hopes of early intervention – specifically
eating disorders, anxiety and depression, self-harm and addiction
We hope to see lots of Common Runners and their families on Saturday, enjoying the festive run as well as the mulled wine and mince pies!
If you would like to give (or receive!) Common Runners’ gift vouchers for Christmas – to be used on any course or on a one-to-one – why not order some today? Just let us know who they are for and for how much and the vouchers will be sent to you.
