From outside the Windmill Cafe on Wimbledon Common, we offer running courses for beginners and improvers and weekly social runs - during the week, usually straight after school drop off and in the evening. We also offer one-to-one training for those who may not want to be part of a group or who would like some tailored training.
The running classes are women-only and for all ages and abilities. They take place during term-time and exclude school holidays, making them ideal for mums, homeworkers and retirees. Ad hoc classes are available in the holidays, subject to demand.
Our summer running courses are coming to an end on the 18 July and new ones are starting in September 2019. Classes take place on Wimbledon Common on Monday morning, Tuesday morning & evening, Wednesday morning (social run) and Thursday morning.
Throughout the summer there are mixed ability, pay-as-you-go running classes on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. There is also a new 6-week beginner’s course starting on Saturday 20 July, 8-9am.
Booking a running course
Our autumn 2019 running courses must be booked in advance – the term costs £182 (for 14 weeks) which includes a free social run every Wednesday at 9.30am – two classes per week for the price of one! Evening courses cost £168 (14 weeks) as there is no social run on offer. All course attendees are entitled to discounts at The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) in Wimbledon, Sporting Feet (in Putney & Richmond), Sweatshop (locations throughout London), Sweaty Betty (Wimbledon) and Up & Running (East Sheen) .
