London Bridge-d running tour

We now have 12 Common Runners signed up for the London Bridge-d running tour!

On Friday 9 June @ 9.30am, we are going on a 10k running/walking tour to explore the City of London, the original Roman settlement and home of St Paul’s Cathedral and Southwark that boasts Shakespeare’s globe, Borough Market and much more.

On the tour there will be scandals and secrets a-plenty revealed at each of the 10 stops. The tour will be followed by a well deserved coffee and cake at a special location. All abilities are catered for but you must be comfortable running at least 5k.

This tour looks fabulous! The cost of the running/walking tour plus coffee/tea & cake after is £24. If you haven’t signed up yet but would like to attend please let me know.

Final numbers and payment will be required by mid-May as the required number of guides will have to be booked. At this point I’m afraid that there will be no refunds.

We meet outside Sweaty Betty in Wimbledon Village. The class costs £10. Please email info@commonrunners.co.uk to confirm your attendance.

Supporting Santa Charity Park Run on the Common

Common Runners is happy to support the Santa Charity Park Run on Wimbledon Common this Saturday (17th Dec) where money is being raised for:

* Wimbledon Common Rangers who take great care of the common
* Stem4, a wonderful local charity which focuses on raising awareness about
mental illnesses in teenagers, in the hopes of early intervention – specifically
eating disorders, anxiety and depression, self-harm and addiction

We hope to see lots of Common Runners and their families on Saturday, enjoying the festive run as well as the mulled wine and mince pies!

Xmas gift vouchers available!

If you would like to give (or receive!) Common Runners’ gift vouchers for Christmas – to be used on any course or on a one-to-one – why not order some today? Just let us know who they are for and for how much and the vouchers will be sent to you.

Xmas scavenger hunt run & drinks!

A Christmas celebration with a difference…

On Tuesday 29 November @ 7pm, we’re organising a Christmas ‘photo scavenger hunt run’ around Wimbledon Village to discover some fun and interesting sights! The run will be followed by drinks and canapes at the Dog & Fox pub, a must to recharge the batteries and to celebrate a year of running!

Our Christmas ‘photo scavenger hunt run’ starts outside Sweaty Betty and finishes at the Dog & Fox pub in Wimbledon Village. You will be divided into teams of varying speeds/abilities, given a list of places/items to find and
photograph with all team members before heading back to the pub by 8pm. The team with the most photos will win the hunt and a prize!

The Mezzanine area in the Dog & Fox pub has been reserved for us and Prosecco, soft drinks and canapes will be pre-ordered so that everything is ready for us after the run. The cost of the refreshments is £26 per person (based on 20 people attending) and gives you two glasses of Prosecco/soft drinks and a selection of canapes.

We hope that you can make the run and drinks!
