Celebrating Women’s Sports Week

To help celebrate Women’s Sports Week on 19-25 June 2017, we are encouraging all Common Runners to bring a friend along for FREE to one of our classes that week in the hope that they enjoy the huge benefits that running on the Common brings.

And if you don’t know anyone at Common Runners but you would like to try out a running class that week, please let us know.

Email info@commonrunners.co.uk to register your interest.

London Bridge-d running tour

We now have 12 Common Runners signed up for the London Bridge-d running tour!

On Friday 9 June @ 9.30am, we are going on a 10k running/walking tour to explore the City of London, the original Roman settlement and home of St Paul’s Cathedral and Southwark that boasts Shakespeare’s globe, Borough Market and much more.

On the tour there will be scandals and secrets a-plenty revealed at each of the 10 stops. The tour will be followed by a well deserved coffee and cake at a special location. All abilities are catered for but you must be comfortable running at least 5k.

This tour looks fabulous! The cost of the running/walking tour plus coffee/tea & cake after is £24. If you haven’t signed up yet but would like to attend please let me know.

Final numbers and payment will be required by mid-May as the required number of guides will have to be booked. At this point I’m afraid that there will be no refunds.

Mixed ability running class over Easter

Running courses finish at the end of March and new ones start week beginning 17 April 2017 – enjoy the break!

However, if you feel that you need to work off those Easter eggs and fancy a run around the roads of Wimbledon, then please join us for an ad hoc, mixed ability, pay-as-you-go class on Tuesday 11 April, 7-8pm. We meet outside Sweaty Betty in Wimbledon Village. The class costs £10. Please email info@commonrunners.co.uk to confirm your attendance.

The distance covered is about 9k which can be run or combined with walking. In other words, all levels are catered for.
