London Bridge-d run

London Bridge-d runOn Friday 9 June 2017, 13 Common Runners went on a 10k running tour of the City of London, the original Roman settlement and home of St Paul’s Cathedral and Southwark that boasts Shakespeare’s globe, Borough Market and much more. The tour was followed by coffee and cake at the 101 Café at Mansion House.

The tour was fantastic! We met at The Royal Exchange outside Bank Station on a warm (and rainy!) day. We then headed towards the Tower of London to see the Roman wall, outside the Gerkin where an unknown young girl from Roman London was buried, onto Leadenhall Market, the Guildhall before heading toward Southwark to hear about scandals and secrets a-plenty.

Here’s what some Common Runners had to say about the tour:

“Thanks so much Caroline, it was a fabulous experience. And lovely to see you all.” Katia F, Wimbledon

“Thank you Caroline for organising this morning, I enjoyed it.” Helen J, Wimbledon
